At the heart of the notebook is MD PAPER, Midori's original writing paper, developed in-house since the 1960s and refined ever since. It's tuned specifically for writing: smooth under the nib, with excellent resistance to bleed-through and feathering even with fountain pens. That same paper is used throughout — inner pages, cover, and endpapers — for a unified, premium feel from front to back.
This edition features ruled lines with a thicker line down the center, dividing each page into a top and bottom section. It's a small detail with real flexibility — you can use a single page as two short entries, or treat a two-page spread as four neat panels for memos, dated diary entries, planning blocks, or quick notes. The structure invites organization without dictating it.
